The last hurrah with Michael and Brenna Part 1

The school year ended and it was time to Michael and Brenna to go home. We wanted to have a fun day with them before they left. Mama and Papa had made them work hard in school and we all needed a fund day.

We borrowed a MAV (Mormon Assault Vesicle A.K.A a big van) from friends of ours since we could not all fit in the Prius. Loaded up and went to Santa Cruz for a day at the beach.

Mama made me wear my life jacket when we went to the water. Mattman complains that Mama is to conservative when it comes to safety. Mattman often tells Mama that he wishes she was not a nurse and not have seen what happens to people when they do not practice safe procedures.

Extra Extra Read All About it.

We interrupt this blog for a special announcement:

I just pooppeyed in the potty!!!
Mama and Papa are so happy.

The last hurrah with Michael and Brenna Part 2 Playing in the Sand

I borrowed a succor ball from someone else on the beach. People have a hard time saying no to such a cute toddler like me.

I had a little bit of a runny nose that day, so the sand kept just sticking to me every time I tried to eat some.

The last hurrah with Michael and Brenna Part 3 Food

We brought hot dogs, chips, sodas, some veggies to eat. Although I think I had more fun eating sand, playing ball and playing in the water water. It was good just being with the people I love and to hang out on the blanket.

The next day, Saturday, Papa, Brenna and Michael got early to take Michael to the airport. I think Michael had wished he had stayed one extra week so he could have done more with his friends in CA., but he was so anxious to get back to his family he could not wait.

That Saturday, Papa and I took the MAV to the car wash. The people said that we could borrow their car anytime since we were washing a car that was not ours. Our friends thought we had brought back the wrong car back.
Brenna that week went to girls camp. She came by the next Sunday to tell us all about it.

Mattman's Birthday

At the end of May Mattman turned 15. We had just a small party: Mattman of course, I was there, Michael, Brenna, Mama, Papa and the missionaries.

Mattman did the same thing he did every year. He blew out the candles and then put all the candles in his mouth to lick off the frosting.

Trying to be like the big people

I try to copy the poeopl I like the most. I think Papa wanted to try out the slide show.

Walks

Almost everyday I take Papa and Ppa-P- for a walk. Sometimes I even help walking Ppa-P-. Some days I ride in the stroller for part of the walk and then push the stroller for part of the walk. Sometimes I bring my push cart or my bus. Most days I bring Dump Truck.

I often stop to say hello to my friends and smell the flowers. On my walks I look for: trucks, buses, dogs and now that it is Halloween I look for Gars that people have put up in their lawns.

Some times I find puddles and sprinklers to stomp through.

I like to pick dandelions.

Now that it is fall in in California, I have found the lawns that have leaves on them.

Mama took me for a walk and I brought home some leaves.

Michael and Brenna

Mama has known Michael and Brenna longer then she has known Papa. I don’t understand how that can be, because Mama and Papa have always been Mama and Papa. Michael was a ring bearer in their ring ceremony. He came in warring only one shoe.Brenna sang a song for Mama and Papa at their wedding reception. Brenna was the littlest one. Brenna came up with one of the lines that they sang. It was to the music of Nephi’s courage.

God commanded Larry (Papa) to go and find a wife.
To his consternation this caused a lot of strife.
Many thought it would never be so.
Larry was courageous so he married (Mama) Jo.

So for a Christmas present for Mattman and Michael, Mama and Papa flew Michael for a week. While Michael was here Mama and Papa found out that school in LA was not going well. So they invited Michael to stay for the next semester of school.
After a while they found out that Michael were lonely without each other. Mama and Papa did not know how they were going to do it, but after some thought and prayers they invited Brenna to come and join them.
It was hard on Michel to be away from his family that he loves so much. It was also hard to adjust to a different culture. Michael would often forget to use his napkin and have to use my bibby bib.
Brenna was very special and nice to me. I learned to say her name. I miss Brenna the most. Mostly I miss her since she was my only sister. We all love them, we miss them and are glad that they are doing well now their family has moved to Texas.

A short one act play

Yesterday as Papa and I were bringing Mattman (a.k.a. big brother Matt) home from school. We saw some men trimming a tree.

Papa said that he could not do that job, he is scared of heights.

Mattman said that he could run up the tree like a suirrel.

They then came up with this one minet play.

Rodent Tree Trimming service.

Radom Passerby: So how is your man going to climb the tree without any ropes?

Forman: Just watch. Squirrel get started.

Squirrel: (as he climbs the tree) Squirrely, Squirrely, Squirrely, Squirrely.

Radom Passerby: Wow. Now how is he going to trim the tree without any saws or trimmers?

Forman: Just watch. Squirrel get started.

Squirrel: (as he cuts the tree) Beaver, Beaver, Beaver.

The End

Brenna's Prom

In April Brenna got asked out to the Mormon Prom. A Prom open to everyone who want to keep LDS standards for the night.

Mama and Papa did not understand why there needed to be a Mormon Prom until they had chaperoned a High School Dance. Papa said he felt like he needed to talk to the Bishop (local Mormon Pastor) after the high school dance.

Brenna was real excited about going. Papa had a lot of fun. He said that this was his only chance to be a Papa of a girl going on a date.

The date was with Cameron Wright, a boy in our ward who papa likes. For weeks before the date Papa kept teasing Cameron.

One day Papa saw Cameron in church with something written on Cameron's arm. Papa said to Cameron, "You know I don't allow my daughter to date someone with a tattoo."

Cameron immediately said that it would be off of his are the next day.

Papa said that when Cameron came he was was very nervous. Papa sat him down in the front room to give him the interview. The longest part of the interview was the awkward silence that Papa caused. Then he asked what the plans were.

Cameron said what they were going to do.

Then Papa told Cameron that he had always respected Cameron and all he had to do was to be the same kind of person he had always been and to have a fun time.

Cameron said, "That's it?"

Brenna came home excited and glowing.

Dog Days

Most days I spend with one of my best friends, Chelsea. I call her Ppa-P-.
Some mornings we will start the day by sharing a bone.

Ppa-P- and I sometimes have a hard time telling what belongs to whom. She steals my toys and I steal her toys.

She will wait by my chair for me to drop food or throw her some food. If nothing else she will clean me up and my chair after I am done.

When I am walking around with my snacks Ppa-P- will steal from my hand when PaPa is not looking. Of course most of the time I hold out my hand with the food in it towards her.

That is OK, since I steal her food. I like her jerky teats the best.

I try to do the same things that she does. I drink out of her dish just like she does.

Other time we will hang out in her crate together.I think I know how to escape, I 'll just use this screw driver than we are out of here. After a long day of playing we like to just chill together.Or, I will just take a nap on her bed.
